Port Angeles, Wash. – Thirty-two Stevens Middle School students were selected as Students of the Month for May and were honored Wednesday, June 1 at a luncheon at the North Olympic Peninsula Skills Center (NOPSC) prepared by the Center’s culinary arts students.  The seventh and eighth grade students were recognized by their teachers.

The following Stevens students were honored: 
Areeb Altaf, Brooklyn Alton, Alyssa Benedict, Dustin Bowman, Ava Brenkman, Jerome Buchanan, Marie Burns, Ethan Cameron, Dru Clark, Silas Eastman, Drew Eckard, Hayley Echols, Peyton Hefton, Addie Holland, Jason Kibe, Markus Musalek, Natalie Martinson, Camryn Mason, Haley Moe, Madeline Montana, Emma Murphy, Emma Murray, Rain Ogemahgeshig, Preetha Patel, Jaeden Platt, Angelo Ramos, Rianne Rodocker, Natalie Schmidt, Casandra Shamp, Raven Sharpe, Jacob Thrush and Korin Urtezuela.

Six character traits, aligning with the school’s PRIDE topics, were celebrated at Stevens Middle School during the 2015-16 school year with the final one a “Teacher’s Choice” selection. Traits, and months celebrated, are:

September - Personal Responsibility
October - Respect
November - Integrity
January - Determination
March - Excellence

The Stevens Middle School orchestra, directed by James Ray, performed at the luncheon.
