Stevens Students Honored for Integrity

Port Angeles, Wash. – Twenty-five Stevens Middle School students were selected as Students of the Month for November and were honored Wednesday, December 2 at a luncheon at the North Olympic Peninsula Skills Center prepared by the Center’s culinary arts students.  The seventh and eighth grade students were recognized by their teachers for showing integrity.

Cosmetology instructor Susan Witherow and students - Tehya Busby, Michaela Ripley and Suzi Stringer – gave a presentation on the Skills Center Cosmetology program.

The following students were honored:  Derek Bowechop, Savannah Bray, Yun Chong, Lexi Cobb, Chase Cobb, Katherine Cobb, Savanna Dorrell-Beadle, Haley Echols, Riley Ellinwood, Ashley Frantz, Wyatt Hall, Peyton Hefton, Brielle Keywood, Porter Litle, Emma Murray, Emma Olsen, Preetha Patel, Emma Riffle, Ashley Sampson, Casandra Shamp, Henry Shaw, Brianna Tiemersma, Kaitlyn Underwood, Angel Vlasak and Logan Williams.

Six character traits, aligning with the school’s PRIDE topics, will be celebrated at Stevens Middle School during the 2015-16 school year. Traits are:

September - Personal Responsibility
October - Respect
November - Integrity
January - Determination
March - Excellence
May - Teacher’s Choice
