Port Angeles, Wash. – Two Stevens Middle School students, Nacia Bohman and Alisandra Baccus, were honored by Principal Chuck Lisk at the November 12 School Board meeting as Port Angeles School District Students of the Month.  The students, both in eighth grade, were selected by Stevens staff as part of a program honoring exemplary students during the 2015-16 school year.

Principal Lisk said, “We have excellent students at Stevens Middle School so it is always hard to choose, but these two eighth graders, Nacia Bohman and Alisandra Baccus, are outstanding, very active student leaders in our school and deserve to be honored for their hard work.”

“Nacia is on Gold Honor roll and she’s the director of Stevens News Network,” said Lisk. “She was co-chair of the recent Fun Run which raised more money than in recent years.  She is on the Stevens volleyball team and plays in the orchestra.  Recently, she appeared on KONP Radio to talk about Stevens activities.”

“Alisandra is also on Gold Honor Roll,” added Lisk, “and is in charge of the technical side of Stevens News Network.  She’s the communications officer for the Associated Student Body, plays in jazz band and the orchestra. She runs cross country and is a member of the student leadership team.”

Nacia is the daughter of Christine and Rich Bohman; Alisandra is the daughter of Jessica and Bill Baccus.

Students of the Month will be announced at each school’s respective school board meeting.  Each District school hosts a school board meeting once during the school year.
