Book Wars Trivia Competition at the Port Angeles Main Library

Book Wars Trivia Competition at the Port Angeles Main LibrarySeventh- and eighth-grade students from Stevens Middle School will compete in a literary trivia competition at 6:30pm on Friday, February 10, at the Port Angeles Main Library of the North Olympic Library System (NOLS). The event is a culmination of a year-long program during which participating language arts students formed teams and read ten books selected by library staff. The team that prevails February 10 will win a Samsung Galaxy Tablet for each of its members. The public is welcome to attend this fun, free event.

About the program
“Book Wars is not just an amazing program that gets more than 100 students, it’s a program that encourages an entire school to read great books,” Stevens Language Arts teacher Stacey Sanders said. “Everyone is talking about these books!” Books selected for the program include “The Honest Truth” by Dan Gemeinhart; “The Boys in the Boat” by Daniel James Brown; “The Scorpio Races” by Maggie Stiefvater; “The Wee Free Men” by Terry Pratchett; “Cinder” by Marissa Meyer; “Jackaby” by William Ritter; “Revolution” by Deborah Wiles; “I Am Princess X” by Cherie Priest; “If I Ever Get Out of Here” by Eric Gansworth; and “Code of Honor” by Alan Gratz.
